Effective November 3, 2026 · applies to Motion Glass for macOS and motion.glass
The short version: Motion Glass has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers of ours. Your music, projects and renders stay on your Mac. Your API key lives in the macOS Keychain. The only network request the app makes with your content is the one you configure: to the AI provider you chose.
1. Who we are
Motion Glass is published by iCoreTech, Inc. ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy or your data: [email protected].
2. What the app stores on your Mac
- Projects. Songs you import are copied into the app's sandboxed project container, together with the creative plan, analysis and render history.
- Preferences. Non-secret settings (appearance, default model, budget cap, render defaults) are stored locally with macOS UserDefaults.
- API keys. Anthropic and OpenAI keys are stored as app-local, non-synchronizable generic passwords in the macOS Keychain.
- Model catalog cache. Model names, context windows and prices are cached locally so the app works offline.
- Renders. Previews, stills and final videos are written to your project folder or to the location you choose in a save dialog.
We cannot see, access or retrieve any of this. It never reaches us.
3. What leaves your Mac
Motion Glass makes network requests in exactly two situations:
- AI direction requests. When you generate or revise a plan, the app sends your prompt, a compact text summary of the song's structure (duration, tempo, section/bar layout and energy), your chosen style, and the model name to the provider you configured — Anthropic, OpenAI, or a custom base URL you set in Settings. The audio file itself is never sent. Prompt text can contain whatever you type; avoid putting personal information in prompts.
- Model catalog refresh. The app periodically fetches a public JSON catalog from our public catalog host and, optionally, the provider's model-list endpoint. These requests contain no personal data; like any HTTPS request, the destination may receive standard technical metadata such as an IP address under its own policy.
There is no telemetry, crash reporting, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. No third-party SDKs are linked into the app.
4. API keys
Keys you enter are stored only in the macOS Keychain on that Mac. They are sent only to the provider endpoint you configured (or the gateway base URL you specified), never to iCoreTech. You can remove a key at any time in Settings → Providers, or with Keychain Access. Keys are excluded from iCloud Keychain synchronization.
5. AI provider processing
Anthropic, OpenAI or a gateway you configure process the request under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control, receive or store that data. If provider data handling matters to you, review the policy of the provider you connect.
6. This website
motion.glass is a static site. It sets no cookies, loads no external fonts or scripts, and includes no analytics or trackers. The site is served by our hosting provider, which may keep standard server logs under its own policy.
7. Children
Motion Glass is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
8. Data retention and deletion
Because we hold no server-side data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. On your Mac, delete individual projects in the app, or remove the app and its container to erase everything. API keys can be removed in Settings or in Keychain Access.
9. Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA grant rights of access, deletion and portability over personal data held by a company. We do not collect or hold personal data on our servers. Requests about data processed by your AI provider should go to that provider. You can still contact us with any question at [email protected] and we will respond.
10. App Store privacy label
In the Mac App Store, Motion Glass declares Data Not Collected. The app declares no tracking domains and no collected data types in its privacy manifest.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
